Microphone: Make sure no other apps are using it. When you speak you will see it display a meter of green bars. Most of the time on a desktop computer the Web Cam is also the microphone. Most issues can be resolved by just unplugging the webcam, wait a few seconds and plug back in (USB). If you click the microphone it will mute. Also, the browser will possibly have a pop up dialog box that will request permission to allow the microphone to be used. Be sure to allow.
Camera is disabled warning icon: On a desktop computer, possibly the camera/webcam is unplugged. On a laptop/tablet/cell phone check to make sure another app is not using the camera. Otherwise, the video window will show your cam by default. Some browsers will also sometimes have a pop up to ask for permission to use the camera. Be sure to allow.
Pre-call Test: Look for this button in the Doxy interface if you are initially having issues with sound or video. It has a virtual assistant that can help resolve issues. Usually in the lower left corner.
Windows volume control: Lower left corner of windows 10 (where the time and date show). Click the speaker icon. The device that currently plays audio will be listed. In this case it is the computer speaker(s) and or head phone jack. If you are using Bluetooth headphones/earphones or a speaker it should show here and how high the volume is. Generally, Bluetooth sound devices should only be paired to one device at a time. See the 3rd image.
